(i) Emails or pop-ups claiming to be from Counsel Partners that require you to divulge sensitive information; and

(ii) Demands for money or offers of prizes that are inconsistent with the services typically provided by legal and professional consulting and advisory service providers.

(b) To confirm the authenticity of any communication claiming to be from Counsel Partners, please cross-reference the contact details in the communication with those we have previously provided to you. If in doubt or concerned, contact us directly using the methods provided in the footer of this website.

Counsel Partners will exclusively provide payment instructions over the phone. Any email requests for payments, even if appearing to be from Counsel Partners, should be verified directly with us via phone.

9. Communications and Electronic Transactions

(a) Any emails, newsletters, or other electronic communications from Counsel Partners may refer you to our Legal Notices, Website Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and other governing documents. By engaging in electronic communications with us, you agree to be bound by these documents.

(b) All hard-copy mail and documents should be sent to Counsel Partners' designated PO Box. Counsel Partners is not responsible for any loss, delay, or damage incurred during the mailing process.

(c) Counsel Partners communicates payment requests through secure, password-protected documents sent via email. Following this, clients will receive a phone call to provide the necessary password for the document and to verify the payment instructions. The phone call will be conducted using reverified phone numbers. It's imperative for clients to validate the payment details over the phone with a designated representative from Counsel Partners before initiating any Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs). Payment instructions provided solely via email, without accompanying verification via a reverified phone number, will not be considered valid or binding.

10. Paper and Electronic Communications

(a) Unless otherwise stated, Counsel Partners will correspond with you via electronic methods such as email.

(b) You may request to receive paper communications from Counsel Partners at any time by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

(a) These terms and conditions are governed by the law in force in Victoria, Australia, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.

(b) All matters pertaining to these terms and conditions are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria, Australia.

(c) Any dispute arising under these terms may be resolved through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods before escalating to court proceedings, at the sole discretion of Counsel Partners.
